Where we go from here....

Luca ~Italy~ The superstar...and the boy who is eating me out of house and home....Kidding, Luca!

Little Miss Nadya ~Russia~ Lewis loved calling her Raccoon Butterfly :) I loved our late night talks, Russian pancakes, and making scrapbook pages with her.
Hezha ~Iraq, Northern Kurdistan~ Probably learned the most about himself that year and I learned that I act just like my father! My fav. moments Lewis can run fast, killing the spider, and reading the bizarre fact book.

Niklas ~Germany~ Our first...hahaha the "perfect" child no one can live up to. Don't let it go to your head Nic!!!!!

Miss Maria ~ Sweden~ My shyest girl. Hanging out with me....I wouldn't let her just be a wall flower! I made her have to talk to me! ♥ her!

Miss Klara ~The Czech Republic~ Just call me Claire....I love it. My little HELPER! Don't do my dishes Damn it!!! :P

I have so many things on my plate at the moment I just don't know which way to turn! I have always been a dreamer type personality. Which has been known to get me into a LOT of trouble in my past. Sometimes the things that I can dream up have a way of backfiring especially when you add in my never think about PLAN B attitude. Lewis and I are closing a chapter in our book and moving onto new things in our life together. I am kinda sad to think that I will not be hosting another foreign exchange student this next year, but I feel that the 6 kids I have met and the 5 years I have opened up my heart, family and home are plenty. This year has been pretty crazy. I feel that it has probably been more about me losing my spark for what I was doing....I am just burned out. Not that anything particularly horrible has happened....just all the little things are driving me crazy....kinda like the relative who has stayed too long feeling. Plus we are working hard to make some new changes around here.....we are super excited to start working on our projects for this next year. OK..maybe not...anyone who knows my hubby knows that it could possibly take years to finish a project....around here we are in many different stages of the "finished" project. What kills me the most is when he starts another project to make the project he is working on go faster!!! Confused yet? Yeah....I have become the master at negotiating with him to be able to hire out SOME of the projects to just get them finished. I can't complain too much...when he does get it all done it is beautiful! Just don't ever look behind my couch. ;) To all my kids that I have hosted....I truly have loved each and every one of you guys! You all have touched my heart in so many ways. You are my kids. My life, my family's lives have all been changed by knowing and loving each one of you. There is a little piece of my heart in Germany, Russia, Iraq(I know you are studying in Lebanon), The Czech Republic, Sweden, and when Luca returns home he will take a piece to Italy. I gotta stop. :'(
