What in the H E double toothpicks was Roosevelt thinking when they decided to tear up every single street in the town? I have tried to avoid it as much as possible, but often find myself stuck right in the middle of it. The thing that amazes me is how many people drive around and have no respect for the signs and the people who are out there working to improve the road. Yes the road being tore up is crappy, but the overall picture will be a better road to travel on. When we cut people off, make road jams, by not giving big trucks the room they need to make turns safely and not having the little bit of patience needed to safely move about our town in the mess that it is, we all are just making the whole process a bigger headache. So here is to making the most of this summers road construction....and I think we all need to take a moment and be thankful that we aren't under this type of thing every year. ;) Happy Driving :)

It All Ends.....TONIGHT!
I am so excited for MIDNIGHT tonight!!!! The final conclusion to Harry Potter. I hope that it explains all the things it hasn't, but it probably won't. Some people may just have to READ the books to finally get it all! (Sorry Luca and Hezha) I am probably going to take the best date to this movie....Wesley is going to go with me. He is so excited too!! He told me last night that he was going to have to sleep all day long to be able to stay up for the movie.

Took a break up at Moon Lake :)
OK...enough with all the digging and hauling dirt, trying to keep the baby from tattooing everything in sight, and just all the general day to day stuff. Break Time :) So I decided that being the "loving" wife that I am, I'd take the family up to Moon Lake and have a picnic. For those who REALLY know me....they know that this is really saying I love you to Lewis! I HATE nature...OK I like it, but only from the comfort of a huge camp trailer with power and bug screens!!!! I hate dirt, I hate fires and smoke, I hate fishing, and hunting. It was wonderful for about 20 min. then I was ready to leave. I stuck it out for about 2 1/2 hours...until the thunderstorm. :) I am amazing ;) The kids loved it. It was all good until they wanted to whack me with the sticks they found. The nicest part was being with each other...even if we did drive each other crazy. Ryann was cute. She was walking into the trees saying she was hunting lions. I think I have another highly imaginative kid. I can't imagine where in the world she gets that from.....
Ryann as close to the pine tree as possible
Wes and the stick he found
I asked her to smile and this is what I got
Notice that my son whack some of his hair off?? I did after I saw this pic! Big chunk missing right in front!
The heart Wes drew with the arrow pointing to me....I think he was trying to make up for the hair thing! ;)
Skipping rocks on the lake

The Latest Victim....
Permanent Marker!!!!
Poor Basal didn't get out of the way quick enough. I didn't notice his tattoo until later that day when someone was visiting and I thought....what is that on the dog?? He looked at me like....Could you PLEASE control your child...look what she did to me!!!

I have been on a quilting kick :)
I have been making some quilts recently and I am starting to get them finished. My first official one was finished last night just minutes before I gave it to such a sweet friend of mine. She seems to make a lot of sense to me when I am confused. I think it may be possible that she may see a little of her in me...maybe the defiant and bullheaded side. ;) I really wanted to make something nice and surprise her with it...but she kinda found out about it before I could pull off the big surprise. She loved it and that made me happy. I have about 3 more quilts pieced together and five more to sew up the tops. I am having lots of fun doing it and it makes me happy to create something beautiful.

You CAN teach an old dog new tricks ;)
This spring I took a photography class. I actually learned a thing or two about what the hell this camera can do with a little knowledge. Point and shoot is awesome, but when you know how to really work it your pictures can be amazing! I will probably have to re-take the class to be able to retain more info. Stupid short term memory problems! (Public Service Announcement: Don't Do Drugs...Kids. It does do permanent brain damage!) I was really excited to test drive the ability to make really cool pics with Sparklers and with it being the 4th of July perfect opportunity. :) Here are the results of our first attempts.
I was trying to write my name...it is harder when you have to remember to write the letters backwards :)
Wes trying to write his name...I didn't tell him about the backward letters
The Donkey....anyone who knows Lewis knows he can only draw one thing...THE DONKEY ;)
He didn't get very far...these are just the eyes and mouth part
Almost got it :)...the E and R were throwing me off
Ryann doing her sparkler
Wes and Ryann

Great Grandma's stool has never been used so much!
Tonight
Her "mugshot" stance....totally busted and caught in the act
The Stool
Her first official act of naughtiness! I should have known it would continue! ;)

Holy Spaceballs!
This is why my daughter knows swear words!!!
My child is gonna be the death of me! Is it not enough I was feeling all nostalgic just hours ago and posted about how much she has changed and even though I post about her misadventures and my parenting skills...or lack there of, I still Loved her with ALL my heart?? Then she goes and acts like the little turd that I know just has to get into something that she shouldn't. UGH! Seriously...this girl makes me really wonder if they switched her at birth....but I was there and I know that she is mine...even if she totally acts like her father and looks like him too! Wesley is going to end up with a "Saint" complex...because I usually end up going around in frustration saying, "Wes never did this, or Wes never did that, or I never needed those with Wes" I cherish her naptime and bedtime, because I know that I will get a chance to recoup and look "forward" to the new adventure tomorrow. I didn't confess this earlier....but now that this has happened I think I just might have to add one extra post. Sorry, but after this I think it is only fitting.

Transformers....more than meets the eye
It is amazing to me to watch my children grow up right before my eyes. The other day I was going through pics that I found on the computer and it really struck me how much a person can change and really how quickly it can happen. Recent tragic events in our community really have brought light to just how precious and fragile life is. We should take time to ENJOY our kids and families...even when we are not always happy with circumstances or events going on. My kids are going to think I am awesome for a very SHORT period of time, and I really need to soak it up while I can. I know that I have this blog to tell you all about my life with Ryann and what we are doing....while I tend to make jokes and poke fun about what bizarre acts she is doing....I love her with all my heart. She is mine, and God knew what he was doing when he gave me her. She is smart and sassy...she has a mouth on her, she can beat up a boy...now worries there. She is the boss and she will tell you. She can be cute...and about the only thing that saves her on a regular basis is how dang cute she is because of her crazy curly hair. How can anyone stay mad at Shirly Temple??? So back to the pictures...I was surprised by how different Ryann looks from birth to now. She sure has changed alot.
