Holy Smoly....I have been busy :)
OKay....I know that I have seriously neglected this blog, but I will have you know that I do that so I don't neglect my family :P Life has been crazy since I, and I say that jokingly, decided to return to work. (I was seriously mislead about the terms of the contract!!) As with anything I do I jump in with both feet then say...What the Hell just happened!! I think for the first time in my life my dad played this fact about me to his advantage! Sheesh....he is getting smart in his old age. This past week I went to three graduation ceremonies, and made two quilts. My kids were left with their dad for two days and Luca was there to supervise...LOL. I sure had fun watching my friend Angie and her daughter Jacey graduate from college and high school. I was a boob and cried....thank god for permanent make-up and eyelash extension that I was able to cry without turning into a mess. This summer is turning into a crazy summer and there are only a few short months to be completely swamped with all the projects in our plans!!! Two of which I have to pull off all by myself! I have had experience painting. Tomorrow is Memorial day and I have a hard time with it, but I know that Cadence is in heaven smiling down on Lewis and me, and probably giggling about the fact that Ryann is such a character. Wesley asks about her still and I know that he loved her before she was born, because that is just who that kid is. Tomorrow we will visit her grave and place the flowers and release the balloons....and even after that we will continue to love her and think of her often. Hopefully I will be able to get a day off here and there and catch up on all the other things that I am falling behind on.

Forgot I had a blog... ;)
Not really...just been real busy with life and other stuff. :) I took a photography class this past month and I am hoping that I can remember all that I learned about it. Short term brain damage may inhibit this, but I can always hope. I went back to work....temporarily for my mom to have surgery and I think she up and retired on me!!!! So I have obligations to the Family Business....which will lead me into an early straight jacket! I do however have big plans for the added income so here is hoping that it all works out. We are braving adding onto our house doing 95-96% of the work ourselves. I am hoping that I can keep my mouth shut during this LONG process so I can remain married. I hear that building a house or any major construction project can really put the screws to your relationship. I am so happy that mine is ROCK SOLID (I would add rolling eyes emoticon, but I don't know how to do that one). I informed the troops (our kids) that they were going to be enduring a diet of mac and cheese and ramen for the next 4-5 years so we can make our dreams possible....with my cooking skills they were not complaining about that one!! Way to take one for the team! Maybe though out the whole thing we will be able to finish all the other abandoned projects and finally have a house that we totally enjoy....but then we will probably have to move or something. :) With my new camera skills you'd think I'd have pics to post, but I am kind and will spare you all the pics of my back yard with all its dog poo glory....and at the moment it just looks like Lewis has dug me a shallow grave. (which I nearly fell backwards into....how convenient!) When we move onto the next step I will post much more exciting pics :)
I am posting irrelevant pictures that I missed these past few months...enjoy :)

Nightlight
I have come to the conclusion that my daughter is nothing like me. I just had an experience to cement that thought into stone. As a child I was terrified of the dark. I had to have a nightlight and it still didn't help to calm my fears. I am fairly certain at a young age I was visited by aliens who scrambled my brain, glowing red eyes came down the stairs and something has grabbed my legs from under my bed. Sure, now that I am an adult I realize that I have a VERY active imagination and as a child I was certain that a hollow pre-fab door would protect me from the scary things at night. :) So that is me....as a child. Ryann has a nightlight and tonight I found out first hand that she uses hers in a very different way. My little girl gets real close to the glowing light and proceeds to FIX her toys!!!!!! She is her daddy's girl through and through! Maybe she'll grow up and be able to fix mommy's car when it breaks down. I can dream....right?

What's a Muppet?
That was the question posed by my 8 year old tonight. We were watching an all time favorite of mine....Labyrinth. David Bowie in eyeshadow and ratted out hair!!! Gotta love it. Wesley was freaked out by all the Jim Henson creatures. That is when the question came up...well actually he was correcting me, because eventually your children will think you are stupid and don't know ANYTHING. (like that Star Wars Theme Song was from the movie back in the 80's!! Not from Luca's guess...Toy Story, or Wesley's guess Planet 51!!!) God, I am old! :( Back to the Muppets....he was correcting me saying, "NOOOOOO they are Puppets, mom....PUH-PUH-uppets. So this post is for Wesley :)
Definition of a MUPPET: Muppet - A type of puppet popularised by Sesame Street and The Muppet Show, typically operated with one hand of the puppeteer inside the head and a rod to move one arm of the puppet
and I found this one too: The word "Muppet" itself first appeared in 1956, and was said by Henson to have been created by combining the words "Marionette" and "puppet". However, Henson was also known to have stated that it was just something he liked the sound of, and he made up the "marionette/puppet" story while talking to a journalist because it sounded plausible.
There you have it....Jim Henson was a genius....LOL if you didn't already know, and know we have the facts about where muppets came from :P
And I just want to throw in my favorite muppet :)

And who left you in charge??
That is the question of the day! I guess at the moment I am not feeling quite like a Responsible Adult. So far I have let them eat whatever they want, and do whatever they want, and say whatever they want just to keep the peace around here. One bright shining moment was when I was getting the sensor for the Wii down from places up high....Ryann came running over to keep me from falling off the piano bench. I recreated the moment to record it for your viewing pleasure...please don't go around thinking that I have a camera attached to me(although I believe that my dad thinks I do).

I ♥ Al Capone and Willie Nelson....
Why? You ask.....Well simply put it all has to do with stupid taxes and I want to evade them...LOL. Since the hubby got audited I am terrified of them....even when I am due the 'refund'. Taxes suck and it is nice to get money back, but the paperwork involved (and trust me...you should KEEP everything) is ridiculous. So, with all that said I e-filed my taxes last night, and woke up to an email saying that they were rejected! WHAT?! I guess in the process of making sure I got every stupid deduction that I was allowed to take, I made some small numerical errors. Big brother knows how to look out for me though...they knew that I had messed up the routing number to have the refund deposited to my account, and they knew I was totally making up Ryann's SSN. I guess I am glad that they keep such good tabs on us or else my refund could have landed in someone else's lap. That must be how they are able to figure out that they have overpaid someone by 1 million dollars....hahahaha.
America is a land of taxation that was founded to avoid taxation. ~ Dr. Laurence J. Peter
Why does a slight tax increase cost you two hundred dollars and a substantial tax cut saves you thirty cents? ~ Peg Bracken
If you make any money, the government shoves you in the creek once a year with it in your pockets, and all that don't get wet you can keep. ~ Will Rogers
